AEI Honored at Speech & Hearing Association of Alabama Annual Convention

The Alabama Ear Institute was recently honored during the Speech and Hearing Association of Alabama's annual convention receiving the organization's Annual Distinguished Service Award. This award is presented each year to the individual or organization who exhibits outstanding support to the association in professional services and development. 'This is a great honor for AEI' according to Dr. Robert Baldwin. 'AEI is proud of our on-going relationship with SHAA and the extraordinary services their membership provides to the citizens of of Alabama. The Alabama Ear Institue partners with the Alabama Speech and Hearing Association regularly in sponsoring continuing education events for professionals who provide services to individuals and families of children with hearing loss. Past presentations have included Dr. Elizabeth Cole, Dr. Carol Flexer, Dr. Don Goldberg, Dr. Christina Perigoe, Judith Simser, and other acknowledged professionals and researchers in the development of spoken language in children born with hearing loss.
